Call for Posters
Dear Colleagues!
In addition to the classic panels in our programme, we invite you to present your research as a scientific poster.
The posters will be displayed prominently in the arcaded courtyard, where all breaks and social gatherings will take place. Prizes will be awarded for the best posters, as voted by participants via the conference app. Winners will be announced during the social dinner.
Poster Guidelines:
Posters should be in DIN A0 (approx. 119 x 84 cm), portrait (not landscape) format. We cannot cover the printing costs.
Posters can describe ongoing research, recently completed projects, or conceptual deliberations. The poster should address a topic close to the conference theme “Inequalities and the City. Old Issues, New Challenges”.
Artistic, quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, triangulation, and/or contemplative methods are welcome. Comparative research is favoured.
Feel free to deviate from standard templates and incorporate artistic presentation forms if that better represents the essence of your research. We discourage words-only posters.
Important Dates:
- Deadline for poster submissions: December 29th, 2025, 23:59 (CET, Vienna)
You will be notified by January 29th 2026, about your submission. Unfortunately, we cannot offer discounts on the conference fee for poster presenters.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How many people can contribute to a poster presentation?
A maximum of three people can contribute to a poster proposal.
When will I be notified about the outcome of my proposal?
We will announce the decision on accepted posters at the end of January.

Can I participate in the conference online?
The conference will be held in person in Vienna. So far, it is not planned to add online sessions.
What happens after I submit my poster proposal?
You, and any other contributors, will receive confirmation of your submission via email.
The submissions will be assessed and reviewed by members of the local organising committee. You will be notified about the outcome of your submission and further details of the process.
I am a younger researcher with less research experience and publications. Can I still participate in the conference?
As the selection of posters will occur on the quality of the proposal you are definitely eligible and welcome to participate.
What are the conference registration fees?
