Scam Warning
Beware of phishing emails and calls!
Dear Colleagues and RC21 Vienna Conference attendees,
We have been alerted to the fact, that companies going by the name Global Travel, EHS Exhibitor Housing Services and EHM Exhibitor Housing Management, Expo Housing Services, Docu Sign, BTravel – and maybe others – are making telephone calls indicating that they are “from the congress organizers” and claiming that they have a special hotel deal or that something is wrong with your hotel booking for the conference.
Please IGNORE these calls/emails and DO NOT PROVIDE credit card details.
We do not forward any contact details to third parties. These agencies DO NOT have access to information on hotel bookings you make with us (University of Vienna). They are accessing public congress information and searching contact details through search engines like Google.

Hotel booking scams are apparently becoming increasingly common and are aimed primarily at conference participants.

Good day XXXX,
Kindly inform us of your arrival and departure dates in Vienna to secure the space for your stay this July for the conference.
If the itinerary isn’t confirmed yet, it’s a flexible reservation that can be modified or cancelled without any additional fees.
We would appreciate your reply to enable us to proceed with your reservation.
Kindly note that reservations are completely flexible and refundable until 14 days before the arrival date.
